Ann Arbor, Michigan

Ann Arbor is located in Michigan, about 35 miles west of Detroit. It is the sixth largest city in Michigan and is home to the University of Michigan, one of the foremost research universities in the United States, and home to NOAA Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory. Ann Arbor’s name originates from the dense forestation and numerous parks and recreation areas. It also hosts various cultural offerings including restaurants, museums, independent bookstores and art galleries.
